A little about me

So the school year is wrapping up and I've been delving into some self-reflection through these weeks of finals. Questions about who I am and what I will do with my life have sprung up so I thought I could get everything straight in my confused little head about who I am if I tell you all! So here I go:

-I am a Senior in high school currently living in Birmingham, Alabama

-I am graduating with a 4.0 and plan on attending college in Mobile

-I feel called to work as a over-seas missionary for God through a career of nursing

-I am rarely self-assured and quite often have mood swings

-I like reading novels, vegging on 80-90's classic chick-flicks (You've Got Mail, etc.), and lots of nerdy fandoms (Doctor Who, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Sherlock, etc.)

-I am gluten intolerant (I don't eat flour) and cook most of my own food (Baking too!)

-I sing in the praise band at church and lead a small group

-Two things I would grab if my house was on fire: my beaten up Bible and my box of 'memories'

-I am good at masking what I am going through

-The people who have impacted my the most would be my cousin 'Agent E' and an old best friend
'Andy' b/c I could share anything with them and they give sound biblical advice and encouragement

-I like the color yellow because it is happy

-I seriously cannot wait to go off to college! I know I will miss this period of my life but hey, Paul taught us there's a time for everything and I am so excited to see what God will teach me in the coming years

Sometimes life can just get you down, you know? Some people can wear at you and your faith begins to weaken and you doubt what you even stand for anymore. Please be praying for me through this time of transition and hardship- that God will use it for me to know Him more and how to better praise Him through my life. The Fam is going through some hardships also, but I only ask for prayers. God puts us through all hardships only to give Himself glory in the end so I need to look for how He is teaching us through this.
I praise God for you, my dear readers. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ;)
