Catch up
I have been meaning to write to you for a long time but life has gotten in the way. It's funny how it'll do that sometimes- the rhythm of 'getting through this week' will grow into 'I'm so tired of school; why can't I just graduate now?' It makes you forget what is truly important- Spending every minute with God.
So to catch y'all up on my shenanigans, I went to CROSS Conference over Christmas break (it was amazing), Confirmed to The University of Mobile (Go Rams!), and have been in contact with mission boards about spending a few months in East Asia. Cross hosted amazing speakers such as John Piper, David Platt, D. A. Carson, and Richard Chen, among others, who challenged us to pray willingly about going to the nations. I definitely heard God telling me to go, but you never know with him- what context or time period? I humbly ask for prayer from you about guidance of the Lord. I am ecstatic about attending UMobile this fall and feel blessed to have the opportunity and means to get there. I know He will teach me more of His character and sufficiency through my time there so I can't wait. Nursing and Intercultural Studies are what I will be spending my time in for the next four years! Good thing I love those subjects and what job opportunities I will be able to take on overseas with those degrees! East Asia has been a passion of mine for a long time but I never thought of spending substantial time there. Please be praying that God's Will is done in the opportunities that are available and that I will know where he is leading me to go and serve. Since I don't have a partner to go with and since I have to attend a wedding halfway through June it is hard for the mission boards to send me. I know that whatever happens is going to be God's Will so I need to pray for it to be done.
Lately, school has become more demanding in its paperwork but not in effort. I feel like I'm coasting through and wish it could all be over sooner (but three papers aren't going to write themselves...). I will miss my friends I have here, but that's a part of growing up, isn't it? God bless you all and thank you for catching up with me.

Wow you really have a heart to serve. Also I would of never guessed that you wanted to be a nurse, but that is incredible and i hope God allows you to maybe, nurse in east Asia.
