Blondies and Bethany

Summer has deserted me. I have thirteen days until college! Aak! But summer also desserted me (hehehe!) Bethany comes over every week to bake goodies, watch K-dramas, and make paintings! As the goodies crowd my kitchen, I thought I'd be a classic white girl blogger and share a recipe with you. And don't think this is just a lame ole' recipe. This stuff is amazing. I can't stop eating them. So, without further ado,

BLONDIES!!!!!!!!!!

 Ingredients:
-7 Tbs butter, melted
-1 cup brown sugar, packed
-1 cup flour (I always use a gluten free flour)
-1/4 tsp salt
-1/4 tsp baking powder (not soda.)
-1 egg
-1 Tbs vanilla
-1/2 bag of chocolate chips (choose your own measurements!)
-1/2 cup chopped walnuts (i used pecans...?)

Preheat oven to 350Mix butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and egg in a mixer until smooth. Add flour, salt, baking powder to follow and mix until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts with a spatula. Pour into a greased or lined 9x9 pan. Bake for 25 minutes~

They are amazing. Eat them. (You will not regret it. Unless you are allergic to nuts...)

So my summer English class is FINALLY over and I think I aced it! I am grateful for my sweet new friend in that class, Maggie for keeping me sane though we had a weird teacher! She gave me An Abundance of Katherines, which of course I read in two sittings! I had forgotten how much I loved reading! When summer came around and I had the college English class and its million reading assignments (that were horrible even though academia thinks they're the bee's knees) so I hadn't been doing my usual read-a-million-books-over-the-summer-break. An Abundance of Katherines was a breath of fresh air! You all should read it. It's a short, but good, read.

This week Bethany and I helped out at her church's girl's lock-in. Needless to say, I believe she and I had more fun than all of the elementary school girls combined! We ate from the chocolate fountain, painted (rather badly), and made a general mess!

Good times, good times :)

Well, au revoir for now!
-My heart is very happy
